Teaching for Transformation: How the Gospel Makes People Whole

As a minister of education, Romans 12:2 is the verse I base my ministry around.  It reads "Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God".  I believe, with all my heart, that the Gospel has a transformative effect on the life of the believer.  We are people of the Word because we believe it is the Word that changes us.  God's Spirit works in a supernatural way, through Scripture, to renew us from the inside out. That is why it is so vital that all Sunday school and small group ministries are centered on the Gospel.  I hope to in the coming weeks write more about how the Gospel makes people whole, and how we as preachers and teachers can better lean on the Gospel to bring about transformation in our people.  God's will after all is not that His people would be conformed to the world, but that they would be renewed and transformed by His word.  As we stand b
